Peace Okezie, who grew up in Southeast London, is the driving force behind Master Peace. With his energetic blend of indie, dance, grime, and electronica, he effortlessly and skilfully brings the house down at venues and festivals alike. After performing at festivals such as Lowlands and Valkhof Festival, this indie kid is returning to Nijmegen.
With his debut album “How to Make a Master Peace”, he announced himself as a fresh voice in British music, pushing boundaries and breaking new ground by fusing unconventional styles. In early October, Master Peace released his new album, “If I Don’t Love You, Who Will?”, marking a step forward in his song writing. It is a record about identity, connection, self-worth, and finding one’s own place.
Master Peace is ambitious in both scope and creation of his own sound, incorporating echoes and elements from his favourite artists—such as Daft Punk, The Streets, Arctic Monkeys, Bloc Party, Calvin Harris, and The Rapture. These are all bands that brought indie pop/rock and dance music to the dance floor.
